According to Wildbrain, Sonic will soon be ‘in a high-octant adventure’ where the fate of a strange new multiverse lies in his gloved hands. It sounds like the new Sonic game will be something like a multi-universe thing. The concept of multiverse is very interesting, as it means there are different versions of Sonic appearing in the same place.
If there were more than one main game version and anime, then I’d expect that there’d be some other variations in gameplay and plot, as well. And the leaked concept art shows a very different look for Eggman and his minions. Given that this is a new release, we expect it to be connected to the next big game.
The fandom is now speculating that this animated short was made by SEGA as a teaser for their upcoming game Sonic Frontiers, which is currently being teased.
With Sonic’s many different friends and a lot of action packed episodes to watch, this Sonic fan will find himself watching many of his favorite characters.
